Howard Dean Endorses Senator Kirsten Gillibrand

I am already on record as being a Gillibrand fan. As a Representative and now a Senator, she stands out by posting her daily schedule of meetings in a Sunlight Report on her website.

When I got to meet her at a Democrats Abroad event in London, her no nonsense demeanor and plain speaking reminded me of Howard Dean. Or maybe it was because they’re both infamous for having (past tense) a positive rating from the National Rifle Association, lol.

Free advice for NY Gov. Paterson: Vote for Senator Gillibrand

It isn't that I don't admire Caroline Kennedy. It must be awfully hard to live a private life in such a public family. I just don't think she's qualified to represent all New York State voters without ever earning a single vote. (Even if politics is the family business.) While no one might expect her to condescend to a state or local seat, surely she could start off in the House?

So here’s my vote to replace Senator Clinton. Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand. A woman who has earned her position in a tough district. Then, to replace Kirsten, we can see if Caroline has the stomach to campaign to be the new congresscritter from upstate NY 20. If she can make it there, she can make it anywhere.

Happy Election Day America

One of the greatest things about this looooong campaign season is that it got people talking about voting. Rather than avoiding politics in public, it is now ok to celebrate your vote. I love how bloggers are posting and tweeting their vote, often with pictures. I mail voted way far in advance, thanks for the awesome Registrar of Voters in Sonoma County. Am missing getting an “I Voted” sticker, but of course am wearing my grassroots-famous Vote Bracelet.

I voted with my head. This kid is voting with his whole heart. Man oh man. Loving these pictures. Wishing I was there. Little boy, you could grow up to be president. Really, truly.

RIP Mr Carlin, we hardly knew ye

Couldn't decide which video, so here are two. Baseball and Football, insightfully explained. (Traditional marketing is like football, btw, with all the war imagery — campaign, target, launch — and so somehow I think baseball and social media are sympatico, but that is another post for another day).

And Voting which is timely, funny, and ironic.

High five to the Red Sox

Wally_2

This is Wally, the Green Monster. We're rolling into the American League championship against the Cleveland Indians of the politically incorrect Chief Wahoo logo. In a battle of the mascots, his goofy grin is no match for the highest wall in Major League Baseball.

Btw, I'm rooting for a Rockies v Red Sox World Series. Sox in Seven.
